FAQs
Why can’t I connect my Fitbit anymore?
Google is retiring the Fitbit Web API that apps use to connect to Fitbit. We’ve turned off new Fitbit connections ahead of that change.
I already have a Fitbit connected — what happens to it?
Your connection keeps working until September 28, 2026. After that date, it will be turned off and Fitbit data will no longer sync.
Will my Fitbit data stop syncing?
Yes. As of September 28, 2026, Fitbit activity will no longer sync to Aduro automatically.
Do I lose the points or progress I’ve already earned?
No. All points and progress you’ve already earned stay on your account. This change only affects how new activity syncs going forward.
How do I keep tracking my activity?
You can route your device data through another app and connect that to Aduro. On Android, use Google’s Health Connect app; on iPhone, use Google’s Health app and connect it to Apple Health. Set the device to sync into that app, then connect that app to Aduro, and your activity keeps flowing.
Is this Aduro’s decision? Did I do something wrong?
Not at all. This is an industry-wide change coming from Google, not a change to your Aduro program. It affects every app that connects to Fitbit.
